Tim Anderson has worked for the Energy Saving Trust since 2007 where he joined as the Fleet Advice Manager. Prior to this, he worked in a number of management roles in the automotive sector including daily rental suppliers Hertz and National Car Rental/Europcar. Additionally, Tim has worked for Renault UK and was a Fleet Manager for Virgin Media, managing one of the largest fleets in the country. He has an in depth knowledge of fleet management and car rental.
In 2009, Tim took responsibility for the Energy Saving Trust consumer advice programme delivering sustainable travel advice to car drivers to help them reduce fuel spend and emissions. Managing a substantial network of advisors around the UK, Tim provided leadership to this flagship programme to reach consumers through marketing campaigns, online tools, face to face and telephone advice.
Tim now holds the role of Senior Knowledge Manager - Transport. Working to continually develop the programme in response to market conditions, he has gained valuable insight in how to reach both consumers and fleets. His role involves working with the UK Government’s Department for Transport and other stakeholders in the sustainable travel industry. He has led the negotiations of substantial funding packages and he is responsible for ensuring that the Energy Saving Trust maintains its leadership position in the provision of high quality, impartial advice to organisations and individuals.
